At a news conference at the Crime Reporters’ Association in Dhaka on Thursday, she alleged that her husband Jony Sarder, 25, had asked her for an abortion after she had conceived their first child.
The woman brought her mother and two of the witnesses to the presser to back up her allegation.
The four accomplices include a local Juba League leader, who denied the allegation and demanded an investigation.
In a written statement, she said she and Jony, the owner of Al Selim Hotel in Abhaynagar, married secretly in October 2015.
Jony asked her to have an abortion when she informed him about her pregnancy recently. “But I disagreed,” she said.
On Jul 7, former general secretary of Abhaynagar Juba League Sheikh Saifar called her to the hotel to mediate the issue.
Besides Saifar and Jony, there were three people whom she named as ‘Sumon’, ‘Azim’, and ‘Rubel’ at the hotel.
